Awards ceremony for winners of Maths Challenge 2016

The awards ceremony for the winners of the Maths Challenge-2015-16 of the School of Mathematics and Physics has taken place on 18 March 2016 at the University of Lincoln. The winners certificates were presented, together with prizes of Amazon vouchers. One of the 3rd prizes was awarded to the youngest participant, 12-year old Jack Sacks from Penistone Grammar School, Sheffield. (See the full list of winners here.)

After presenting the awards, the chairman of the competition committee Dr Evgeny Khukhro described solutions of the problems, in particular, highlighting some interesting solutions by the participants. In conclusion a lecture on Platonic solids was given by Dr Sandro Mattarei.
