Prize for the winner of the Maths Challenge-2016-17


Melissa Quail, 1st prize

The award ceremony for the winners of the Maths Challenge-2016-17 of the School of Mathematics and Physics has taken place on 30 January 2017 at the University of Lincoln. The 1st prize certificate, together with £100 Amazon voucher, was presented to Melissa Quail, from Longsands Academy, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. (See the full list of winners here.) The chairman of the competition committee Dr Evgeny Khukhro commended Melissa’s entry as containing complete solutions of all six problems in the competition.

The award ceremony was conducted at the beginning of the first annual Charlotte Scott public lecture in mathematics in Lincoln, and the whole audience congratulated the winner with applause.
